Rain Coats for Dogs

What do you think about rain coats for dogs?  I think they are a bit silly, but I am sure Charlie would love one to keep him warm and dry.  Now that it is beginning to feel like springtime here in Virginia the rain is starting and Charlie is mad.  I found this picture of a min-pin in a rain coat and just had to post it.  Those ear holes are a riot.
