Reasons to own a Dog

I read an article in USA Today, which said having a dog can improve your health. According to the article, dogs make life friendlier, help us become more active, and help us heal.

For all you parents whose kids are begging for a dog, but you don't want to deal with a dog when your kids are young, here is an interesting notion found in the article.

"Child psychologist Robert Bierer of Albuquerque conducted a study of 128 children and concluded that pre-adolescent kids who get the chance to help care for dogs tend to have higher self-esteem and empathy than those who do not."

All I know is that Charlie is my best friend. Man I love that cute face and those bulging eyes. I would let him kiss me all day, right on my lips, his stinky breath and all.

Other Dogs Going to School via Scooter

This is Nuts!






This last one is fabulous. My scooter needs a side car so I can take Charlie and my 90 lb Doberman Jack with me.

Going to School via Scooter

(imagination this scooter red instead of green and you have my scooter. I have all the same nifty features, the windshield and the same cargo box.)

So I found out that I can park my scooter for free on campus if I park it at the bike lock. This is exciting news since a parking pass at school is

1. insanely expensive
2. Not helpful cause all the parking spaces are always taken and way far away from class

So I have been taking my Honda Metropolitan Scooter to school, about a 20 min ride, and yes, Charlie comes too and loves, loves, loves it.

He knows when we are going on the scooter cause when I pull out his dog carrier bag he follows me around the house until I put the bag down for him to get inside. Charlie just climbs on in and lays down--I don't have to force him inside.



I put this on my back, climb on the scooter, put my backpack between my legs and Zoom! off we go.


Yesterday we got caught in a torrential down pour to and from school, so that was a bit awesome.

I think Charlie will just growl at my new baby...that is when I have one...and no I am not pregnant.

Dog Photographer

I think I have found my newest dream job/obsession. Maybe I will start a new business venture.





While looking on one of my favorite blogs A Cup of Jo I found this post about a dog photographer and loved it so much that I am posting it here. The photographers name is Sharon Montrose and she officially has the Best Job Ever: photographing puppies, baby deer and even little porcupines in Los Angeles.

Dog Birthday Party

I saw this post of a dog birthday party and thought now that is cute. I want to throw one of these for Jack and Charlie Pants.

Charlie at the Wedding

Charlie is sporting a 50's style sweater for the wedding festivities. He was also given a flower since he was a part of the wedding family. By the end of the night the sweater bottom was almost dragging on the grass cause he had peed on it a couple of times. I am going to have to figure out how to fix that.

Here is Charlie ruining his diet. He found an ice cream cone on the ground, ice cream and all, and went to town. Yummy.
